Spirits In The House
For some people, having spirits in the house is a very common experience. This is especially true for people that have the ability to see, hear or feel the presence of ghosts and spirits.
But for people that are unaware of their own abilities to perceive spirits, or for people that are not taught what to do when spirits are inhabiting their home with them, this can be a terrifying experience.
My Haunted House Exerience
Several years ago my friend Dan and I were roommates in an awesome house. It was a huge 3-bedroom house with two fireplaces, an enormous kitchen, dining room, family room, informal eating area, basement office, plus a pool table and washer/dryer in the basement.
We were two young bachelor professionals just starting in our careers. We didn't have enough furniture to put in all of the rooms, let alone to fill the house.
One day we had another friend and her 10 year old son over for a visit. We were out of the house while she stayed and was washing clothes in the basement. But when we came back later that afternoon she had left unexpectedly.
She later told us the story of how she was folding clothes on the pool table and talking with her son. She then noticed her son turn pale and he had a Wide-eyed look on his face!
He pointed to the corner of the basement and told his mom that there were people floating there behind her. She pulled all of her clothes together and raced out of the house as fast as she could.
That night Dan and I were freaked out, to put it mildly. We had just rented this awesome house and now we find out that there's spirits in the house?!?!?
We'll I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, but Dan and I both dragged our mattresses out into the family room in front of the fireplace and tried to talk about what we were going to do. Yep, we were two grown men but each of us was as scared as that 10 year old little boy.
As we talked we realized that there were many clues to our new house being haunted that we just didn't realize or understand at the time. Or maybe, we just didn't want to know.
The office that we had in the basement always felt cold, even when I took down a portable room heater.
We realized that neither of us ever really chose to use the pool table when we were by ourselves. And now we both became aware it was because we each felt like there was someone "watching" us while we played.
And we also realized that we sometimes would become agitated when spending any time in the basement. But we only became aware of this while verbalizing what we already knew inside.
Clearing The Spirits In the House
The next day we decided to contact someone that we thought could help. Although this person had never specifically ever mentioned an ability to remove spirits in the house, we trusted his spiritual guidance and felt that he could help. We put in a phone call and left a message.
A few days later Dan and I were attending a lecture that was being delivered by this spiritual teacher. We hadn't heard back from him and we were curious about what had been done, if anything.
We spoke to his assistant who told us that he had received our message and that the situation would be taken care of. That was good enough and all we needed to hear. We went back to sleeping in our own rooms again. I guess we just needed some reassurance.
We never got to find out what was done specifically. But after that the house felt more peaceful, and we even occasionally went down to play pool.
These days I now know and understand much more about what to do when there are spirits in the house. I know that most of the time these are just earthbound spirits and that usually they don't even know that they are dead.
I now even teach other people how to help ghosts and spirits to cross-over. I've also written a book to help people learn how to help these spirits that are caught in-between worlds.
